Corrective Movement

“Movement is life. Life is a process. Improve the quality of the process and you improve the quality of life itself.” – Moshe Feldenkrais

Corrective Movement treatment is a combination of movement-based modalities that work together by correcting dysfunction/compensation and ultimately relieving pain, stiffness and soreness, giving you back function and mobility.

By assessing movement our physical therapists can determine faulty patterns or compensations the body makes over time and repetition. The body tells us what the problem is. We just have to make sense of the symptoms. Symptoms tell us there’s something wrong. They don’t tell us what’s wrong.

Corrective Movements are a series of progression motions involving the major joints and muscles of the body. They are designed to restore and maintain gained motion, length and strength of muscles and joints. They are progressive and sequenced to build upon each other. Routinely performed, they stop pain and help patients achieve their goals of moving better and living better.

The combination of Active Neuromuscular Release (ANR) and correcting movement and posture creates a full and well-rounded approach for a positive recovery.
